AI regulation in Mexico
No AI-specific statute has been enacted. Data protection oversight moved from INAI (dissolved April 2025, per the Diario Oficial de la Federación) to the Secretaría Anticorrupción y Buen Gobierno. Several AI-specific bills are pending in Congress (per the Cámara de Diputados' Gaceta Parlamentaria) but none has passed as of this review.

AIC has verified Mexico's regulatory position — the status, the instrument and the administering body above are checked against primary sources. What is not here is the clause-by-clause breakdown of what the instrument requires, because we have not done that work for this jurisdiction yet.
We would rather leave that visible than write a plausible-sounding summary nobody checked. If Mexico matters to your organisation, tell us and it moves up the queue.
