AI regulation in Norway
As an EEA (not EU) member, Norway's incorporation of the EU AI Act into the EEA Agreement is still pending — no EEA Joint Committee Decision has been adopted (per EFTA's eea-lex tracker). Norway's domestic implementing law (KI-loven) has not passed the Storting; the government now plans a further hearing in autumn 2026, reflecting the EU's Digital Omnibus changes, before presenting the bill in spring 2027 (per Regjeringen.no).
